Many of you will know that I am the name behind the brands Comida de Almeria (the food magazine - which can be found at www.comidadealmeria.com) and also Sabor de Almeria (the international food festival I am organising in Spain - www.sabordealmeria.com) and so it will come as no surprise that I am expanding my involvement in food events into a new Tapas Club. For the time being this site will be the home to the new Sabor de Almeria - Tapas Club.

Before you decide if you wish to be part of what will become an EXCLUSIVE PRIVATE TAPAS CLUB, I need to explain a few things, so that everyone knows where they stand, so here goes:
  • Yes, there is a registration fee involved. The cost is 12.00€ per annum registration fee plus 2.52€ IVA and a payment admin fee for the registration system 1.11€ - the total registration price therefore is 15.63€. Non-refundable - paid upfront. (This is no different to many other private clubs out there, except I am sure you will agree the sum requested is not extortionate). This fee costs some (not all) of the expenses necessary in running the club. If you expect everything for free then this is not the club for you. You can JOIN HERE
  • I reserve the right to closed the membership numbers as I consider fit (purely from an administrative perspective) and/or refuse new entrants or new registration to the club accordingly.
  • The initial membership numbers will be 30 people, excluding the host and any guest speakers. When we have reached 30 paid members then we will consider opening up the membership further, maybe at an increased cost.

Without giving away all the precise details of each of our activities, here is a general outline of what we will be offering Members of the Sabor de Almeria - Tapas Club:
  • Social gatherings and Special Tapas Tastings - a chance to meet with like-minded people that enjoy a good drink chat over some tapas...but also chat about tapas too, perhaps learning how they are made and even getting hold of the recipe!
  • New and creative tapas recipe ideas
  • Culinary Expert Talks
  • Taste some good wines and/or special beers (where possible)
  • Guest Chefs – talks and demonstrations
  • Special Tapas Excursions - all over the Province of Almeria, including guided tapas tours of Almeria City
We have such a very long list of activities that we could keep you occupied twice weekly, but we do understand the need to be selective and events will take place approximately monthly or more frequently as determined by the programme.

This how the Tapas Club works:

Upon receipt of payment, you will be issued with your own personal Tapas Club Membership Number (TCMN) - we will then keep you up-to-date with events through email, Facebook page and also this website. TO JOIN - CLICK HERE
